'SAMVEDNA"  is devoting services for the Betterment, Up-liftment, Rehabilitation and Social Welfare of “Persons with Disabilities” in Vadodara as well Vadodara District too and thereby leading lives to live with Respect, Honour and inherent dignity.  The main aspect of “SAMVEDNA” is to contribute efforts for creating sources and searching areas for awarding employment, create resources for self employment and marketing commodities / articles of self employed “Persons with Disabilities”.

Shrimant Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III (born Shrimant Gopalrao Gaekwad, 10 March 1863 – 6 February 1939) was the Maharaja of Baroda State from 1875 to 1939, and is notably remembered for reforming much of  Old Vadodara state during his rule ( i.e. The territory includes Okhamandal and Amreli in Saurashtra,  Navsari in south Gujarat,  Kadi in north Gujarat  and  Vadodara with its surrounding areas).

10^th March 2012, is 150^th birth anniversary of Shrimant Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III.  In His Highness memories, a  Committee formed for the Celebration has planned to celebrate this occasion across the territory once under the Baroda state ruled by the Gaekwads  for whole year.  

Maharaja Sayajirao played a dominant role in social reforms.  To give a tribute to his “SAMVEDNA”, ideology and Social activities, this Trust has planned to organize  a “JOB CUM SELF-EMPLOYMENT MOTIVATION FAIR (2nd) FOR “PERSONS WITH disABILITY” as a “MISSION EMPOWERMENT” on 18^th March, 2012.

There are more than 15,000 “Persons with disabilities” in Vadodara and its surrounding areas.  Of which, some of them are skilled, Some are Semi-skilled and other unskilled.  From Amongst these numbers, “SAMVEDNA” is having lists of some of the “Persons with Disabilities”, who are having outstanding professional as well as intellectual carrier and are in search of some deployment but not getting proper placement for want of proper guidance.  . If proper care, attention, training is given, the vast majority of the disabled can overcome their disadvantaged position and contribute to society with their ability that too in different manner.  

“SAMVEDNA” do not believe in shredding tears or flourish in charity for Aids and appliances but we collectively believe in “EMPOWERING them through employment or self-employment and share their “VEDNA” having SAME+VEDNA = “SAMVEDNA”.  With this intension we have come forward to assist these fellows in arranging placement at proper place through this Industrial Job Fair.   Thereby “Empower” them to attain Self-confidence, feel self-reliant, be self-sufficient, have self-confidence and become Self-esteemed.  

Having lots of Hopes, aspirations and feelings “SAMVEDNA” felt to approach all Well Wishers believing in extending their hands for supporting this community as Humanity - a noble cause, who will support us in this noble event in planning, co-ordinating, Organizing, Hosting, Monitoring, Volunteering etc. and also identifying/searching areas for the job placement of such peoples in their or others sector for this event.  

Our ideology is in sharing views, team work and co-ordination  with good “Service”, utmost “Sincerity”, full “Sacrifice”,   Society’s  “Support” will positively lead us to “Success”.   It will be our pleasure if you can share your views and ideas, together we will make this fair an unforgettable, unique and distinguished event.
