Though famous for the critically endangered Indian Bustard, the Jawaharlal Nehru Bustard Sanctuary, commonly know as Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary at Nannaj is home to array of migrant and resident birds during the winter season. Participants can have delightful sight of three species of harries namely Pallid, Montagu’s and Eurasian Marsh Harrier. Birds like Red-necked Falcon, Rock Bush-quail, Yellow-legged and Small Buttonquail, Painted Francolin, Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse, European Roller, Indian Bush, Rufous-tailed and Sykes’s Lark, Indian Eagle-owl, four species of shrike and many more can be seen here. Also mammals like Indian Wolf, Indian Fox, Blackbuck and Indian Jackal can be seen here.

Members are advised to take overnight bus or train that reaches Solapur. Camp will conclude on Sunday at 5.00 pm. How to reach Solapur: From Mumbai, Siddheshwar Express leaves at 22.35 hrs and reaches Solapur next morning around 06.50 hrs. While returning to Mumbai Husain Sagar Express leaves Solapur at 20.50 hrs (10 mins. halt) and reaches Mumbai next morning at 05.30 hrs Siddheshwar Express starts from Solapur at 22.45 hrs and reaches Mumbai next morning at 07.00 hrs Participants will be dropped at Solapur Station at 17.00 hrs.
