2nd February each year is the World Wetland Day. It marks the date of signing of Convention on Wetlands on 2nd February 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar. To commemorate the World Wetlands Day, a nature trail will be held at Elephanta Island, the main focus will be on raising public awareness about wetlands and their importance, value and benefits. Birds like Brown, Black and Great Black-headed Gull, Gull-billed Tern, Little Greb, Indian Spot-billed Duck, Osprey and White-bellied Sea Eagle could be seen.

How to get there: Hornbill house is located diagonally opp. Lion gate, near the Kalaghoda. Please carry adequate water, packed breakfast.
