Hear CAG Vinod Rai on: Accountability of the Government is the Key to a Vibrant Democracy
As Moneylife Foundation turns three, we invite you to join us to listen to Vinod Rai, the first Comptroller & Auditor General of India who showed us that the government and politicians can be made accountable, if statutory bodies simply do their job. The CAG's relentless audit and fearless disclosures told the story of the massive real and potential losses in the sale of 2G telecom spectrum, the Commonwealth Games, allocation of captive coal blocks, irrigation projects and others is just one part of the story. Staying unflappable under extraordinary political pressure is what has made Mr Rai a national hero and someone we all look up to.
