Karmayog - Social Events Calendar

JATAN 2013 is a 4-day event being held from 14th to 17th of February 2013, by collaborative efforts of the city’s leading environmental organizations and activists, as an opportunity to celebrate, and to raise the collective consciousness of the citizens towards conserving, the rich environmental heritage of Pune city.

The event entails undertaking of a citizens’ environment carnival to celebrate Pune‘s environment on 14th February, a Vriksh Parichay (Tree Walk) with noted environmentalist, Shri S. D. Mahajan on 15th February, and a two-day eco fair that hosts several activities for enabling citizens’ participation and sensitization towards Pune’s biodiversity and heritage conservation by showcasing efforts and work done by voluntary groups on various environment related issues, talks, slide shows, photography exhibition, book exhibition, competitions and entertainment programs on 16th & 17th February.
