BENEFITS FOR THE ATTENDEE
Kathak Yoga has been the subject of a dissertation at Harvard University and we have presented and performed the technique to share as both something to appreciate and as something for anyone to use as a form of meditation in motion ‐ a way to push beyond our personal physical and mental boundaries.
With the weight of the ghungroo, singing and maintaining taal while dancing complex rhythms and adding layers of instrumentation with manjira, harmonium or tabla, for example, this becomes highly cardiovascular, tremendous mental exercise and challenge while pushes one's stamina to physical limits ultimately resulting in overall holistic health through practice and through execution a feeling of bhakti when all can become one.
