Micro-Entrepreneurship Summit 2012
Collaborating for Success
31st January, 2012 at the Plateau Hall, Peninsula Corporate Park, Lower Parel, Mumbai
Greetings!
The Urvi Ashok Piramal Foundation (UAPF) is organizing a micro-entrepreneurship summit on 31st January, 2012, with the aim of creating an exclusive platform for SHGs and micro-enterprises to make sustainable market linkages. The event will provide an opportunity to interact with banking institutions, marketing and packaging experts, entrepreneurship development agencies, etc. which will lead to an increase in the scale and effectiveness of entrepreneurial activities in time. By the end of this summit, UAPF hopes to facilitate a dialogue to create a stronger supply chain between micro-entrepreneurs and commercially viable markets.
In the spirit of commemorating the United Nations’ International Year of Cooperatives, this 1st edition of the Micro-Entrepreneurship Summit will specifically address the needs of SHGs, youth and women’s groups, or any business enterprise that is owned and controlled by their own members and beneficiaries. Given the nature of the event and the profile of attendees listed above, it is an ideal opportunity for your organization to get involved.
The programme comprises a Conference: Collaborating for Success, which will bring together the key players from Government, micro-credit services, marketing services, and the voluntary sector in order to explore opportunities for collaboration and mechanisms for strengthening such linkages.
It will additionally include a Lunch & Learn - an exposition wherein agencies working in the micro-enterprise space in Maharashtra will display their products and/or services during the lunch break.
