On the 25th of February 2013, Aajeevika Mahotsav was organised at Tuban Maidan, Lalitpur. The prime objectives of the event were to distribute Course Completion Certificates and Job Offer Letters to the placed beneficiaries of the Placement linked Skill Development programme – the Aajeevika Special Projects, registration of needy rural BPL youth and publicize the said flagship programme of Govt. of India at a mass scale.
The Chief Guest for the event was Honorable Minister of Rural Development, GoI, Shri Jairam Ramesh and Special Guest was Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Rural Development, GoI, Shri Pradeep Jain ‘Aditya’. Also present during the event were, Joint Secretary, MoRD, Shri T Vijay Kumar, Deputy Secretary, MoRD, Shri Anil Subramaniam, Mission Director, UPSRLM, Shri Vishal Chauhan and District Magistrate Lalitpur, Shri O P Verma amongst other dignitaries.
During the event, 155 beneficiaries of AROH Foundation were presented with course completion certificates and offer letters. The beneficiaries were ecstatic to receive the job offer letters in the presence of the distinguished guests.
On this occasion, a rally was organised by AROH Foundation in which the 155 trained beneficiaries took part. The rally was flagged off at AROH - Aajeevika Special Projects Training Centre at Govindnagar. The 2 km march to Tuban Maidan helped to publicize the said placements linked skill development programme of Govt. of India at a mass scale.
Aajeevika, the prestigious livelihoods scheme of MoRD is being implemented by AROH with support from GAIL India in 8 districts of Bundelkhand Region and has so far trained more than 2000 rural poor and placed more than 1600 in jobs.
