Name of Road:
Eastern Express Highway
Name of Cross Road, if at a junction:
Mulund Goregaon Link Road
Nearest landmark or building:
Mulund Goregaon Link Road Flyover
Category of suggestion:
What troubles you regarding traffic or pedestrian safety at that location?:
Currently, the traffic light operate in the following sequence. A- From Airoli Toll Naka B- From EEH Bhandup side C- From Mulund Goregaon Link road D- From EEH Thane side The traffic from B and a large portion from C go towards the Airoli Toll Naka and since they follow each other, this tends to cause a queue at the Toll Naka.
What do you recommend be done as a solution?:
This can be easily avoided or at least lessened if there is a buffer of the traffic either from point A or Point D between the two. For example A- From EEH Bhandup side B- From Airoli Toll Naka C- From Mulund Goregaon Link road D- From EEH Thane side In this scenario, after the traffic from the EEH Bhandup side the traffic from Airoli Toll Naka is allowed, this will ensure there would be a buffer till the traffic from Mulund Goregaon Link road is allowed. I would also suggest that there should be a free left from the EEH Thane side. If there is an issue of traffic management due to the Bus Stop, a diversion from the salt pans or a flyover may be constructed for the same.
