What troubles you regarding traffic or pedestrian safety at that location?:
This is not specific to a road or area(Had to fill in the fields as it was mandatory), It is a common problem across the city and that is POOR IMPLEMENTATION OF STOP LINE. The crossings n junctions sometimes do not have a clear stop line marked. More importantly, awareness n implementation is very poor. At least one lane for every incoming traffic is always blocked, leading to lesser vehicles being able to cross on every green light, leading to a congestion. Traffic n esp 2 wheelers keep inching ahead and block the other roads.

What troubles you regarding traffic or pedestrian safety at that location?:
The road from the Union Bank end is narrower than the rest of the road. Cars are parked on both sides, reducing the space for smooth two-way traffic. There are shops next to Union Bank which allow right angle parking of bikes and bicycles, adding to the problem. Wide body municipal garbage truck cannot pass through, leading to irregular collection of garbage. This causes a sanitation problem for housing societies and requires personal follow up with the conservancy department of N Ward to collect garbage. There are two paver block surfaced footpaths of uneven height bordering both sides of the road. At some places the height of the footpath is more than 18 inches. Senior citizens find it difficult to climb up and down and therefore are forced to walk on the road which is also uneven and potholed in places. There is a private school on this road which allows its buses to ply and park on both sides, further complicating the problem.

What troubles you regarding traffic or pedestrian safety at that location?:
The junction of Murzban Road and P. Thakurdas Road in Fort sees a daily traffic snarl and pile up of vehicles of upto 20 minutes with excessive honking due to the mis-management of School Buses and students' cars from the Cathedral Senior School that is situated on P. Thakurdas Road. The junction is the meeting point of 3 one-way roads, and the road ahead for vehicles from all these 3 one-ways is blocked every day when the students leave school at around 2:30 p.m. [or at other times, e.g. 1:30 p.m during exams] Private vehicles of the students double and treble park, while the School Buses block the only available lane, as the students seem to be able to board the buses only immediately outside the school, and not from the next lane.

Obstruction of road by parked school bus

Serial No.:
3
What troubles you regarding traffic or pedestrian safety at that location?:
School buses for Alexandra Girls School double park outside the main entrance of the school. This not only obstructs the one-way traffic towards VT, but also blocks access to the pavement for pedestrians crossing the road at this point. Further the school buses are parked in the opposite direction of the one-way of H. Somani Road, thus causing further danger when they drive away from the parked spot. This is an important junction where 5 roads meet, with heavy vehicular & pedestrian traffic, and hence such obstructions of the road and blocking of access to the pavement must be avoided.
